The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE) is responsible for biosecurity control in partnership with the community and industry.
The key goals of the Tasmanian Biosecurity Policy is to minimise the threat to primary industry, the natural environment and public health from disease and pests associated with plants and plant products brought into the State.
